Today, my husband had outpatient shoulder surgery. On our way to the surgery center, he said, "We have to be there at 8:30 a.m. so we can hurry up and wait." He serves in the Air National Guard and recounted several experiences when they would deploy and "hurry up and wait."
This made me think of college admission season, January -April, when you hurry up and meet deadlines to wait, and wait, and wait. What can you do during this time? Focus on the friendships you've nurtured since PreK, spend time with your family, and look forward to spring sports, prom season, and finally, graduation! May 1 will be here before you know it...Next month's blog will be on the significance of May 1! Until then, soak up the experiences and live in the moment!
